AD AND BIOMASS FEEDSTOCK SUPPLY
Traceable feedstock for anaerobic digestion and biomass users
Verloop is a feedstock supplier to anaerobic digestion (AD) plants and biomass users in the UK, the Netherlands, Denmark and across Europe, with feedstocks recovered from food, agricultural, olive and oil-processing by-products, and with biomass sourced internationally. Every load arrives with its origin, weight and chain of custody recorded in Verloop Vision, Verloop's own traceability platform, so operators can evidence what goes into the digester or boiler.
Feedstocks we supply
- Spent bleaching earth: oil-rich, high-yield AD feedstock from edible oil refining
- Food, pet food and feed by-products: off-specification (off-spec) and surplus product, supplied to AD plants approved for the material where it contains animal by-products
- Grain and mill residues: screenings, dust and damaged grain
- Olive by-products: residues from olive processing in North Africa
- Bagasse pellets: sugar cane fibre sourced in South America, pelletised and supplied as biomass fuel into Germany and other European markets
- Other residues: assessed case by case to match your plant's acceptance criteria
For AD operators
We match feedstock to your plant's specification, gate fee and permit, and keep supply steady by working with several sources at once. Where you produce digestate, we can also route it to land and fertiliser outlets. Feedstock supply is led by Neil Warden, Commercial Manager, who has 15 years in renewables and an active farming background.
For biomass users
Our bagasse corridor runs from origin to European end user, with inspection at source and supply coordinated by Verloop.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I buy AD feedstock in the UK?
Verloop supplies AD plants with recovered feedstocks such as spent bleaching earth, food and feed by-products and grain residues, matched to each plant's permit and acceptance criteria, with full traceability.
Does Verloop supply AD plants outside the UK?
Yes. Verloop supplies AD feedstock to customers in the Netherlands and Denmark as well as to UK plants, with origin, weight and chain of custody recorded for every load.
Is spent bleaching earth a good AD feedstock?
Yes. Its residual oil content gives spent bleaching earth a high biogas yield. It needs to be dosed correctly alongside other feedstocks, and Verloop supplies it with full analysis and chain of custody.
Where does bagasse biomass come from?
Bagasse is the fibre left after sugar cane is crushed. Verloop sources surplus bagasse in South America, which is pelletised and supplied as biomass fuel into European markets.
Can you take our digestate as well?
Yes. Verloop routes digestate to land application and fertiliser outlets, recorded in Verloop Vision.
